The RSHE curriculum is well sequenced and age-appropriate, enabling pupils to develop a secure understanding of healthy relationships, emotional wellbeing and personal safety. Our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) approach makes a strong contribution to pupils’ physical and mental wellbeing. Playtimes are inclusive and purposeful, promoting peaceful play, cooperation and positive relationships. Pupils develop independence and determination as they take responsibility, solve problems collaboratively and demonstrate leadership during outdoor learning experiences. As a result, pupils return to lessons settled, engaged and ready to learn.

Across the wider curriculum and enrichment opportunities, pupils are supported to develop resilience, self-belief and an understanding of life in modern Britain. Personal development provision is inclusive and accessible to all pupils, including those with SEND and disadvantaged pupils, ensuring equality of opportunity.
