It is very odd to be writing a weekly update in an empty school. The last two weeks have been full of changes and things are still changing rapidly. I am so grateful for all your texts with words of support – it is really lifting the team who are finding working in this way so very strange. We hope that you are all keeping safe and well and following the guidance as unfortunately over the weeks there will be more and more of our community affected by the virus so stay safe! The staff team as you know have done an amazing job in setting up home learning, looking after the children of critical workers, sorting vouchers and registers, checking in with our families and answering your queries. They all deserve a big clap too – I am very proud of them and value their support so much. For their safety I am ensuring as few staff as possible are working in school. Please direct learning queries to your child’s teacher on Seesaw and other queries by text or e-mail as we are not always able to answer the phone in the day.
Please be aware that some staff are also home schooling children themselves, (myself included some days – what a challenge!) some are looking after vulnerable family members or are working in school so you may not get an immediate response to any questions. We are here for you as much as we can be but bear with us as these are difficult times and we can only do our best. I am now able from today to access Seesaw for all year groups so hope to keep in touch through Seesaw too. Take care all of you – we are still the fantastic Priory community we just have to work differently for the time being. I will post an update again next week. Best wishes Mrs Brown
